Market Research - Double page spread 1

The headline of this article is ‘Cheryl Cole’ which is small and simple and located at the top left hand corner of the page. Although this simple headline doesn’t attract much attention, they have emphasised the letter ‘C’ as a drop cap and as a background to the article to attract attention to Cheryl Cole’s name. The graphical choices of this article are red and black which is also a continuous colour scheme throughout the magazine featuring on the front page and the contents page; this represents Cheryl Cole’s rebellious and seductive nature. The pull quote of this double page spread “I don’t know what I look like any more. Do you know what I mean?” is in the graphical colour of red, this is also in a larger font size which attracts the reader’s attention and gives more insight on what they are going to read about within the article. The font of this double page spread is written in columns to make the article clear to read. The main image of this double page spread is a large medium close up of Cheryl Cole stood in a strong pose and her eyes look like they’re looking straight at the article, this connects the reader with the article, this image shows Cheryl Coles attitude and make her seem very confident. This article also includes more medium close up images of Cheryl Cole which give her a rebellious look, we can see this as the images are in dark colours.
